Public safety is a priority. Keep our City safe. We need to utilize the best technology to keep our homes and business safe.
We must maintain our roads on a REGULAR basis. That includes landscaping.
There must be balance between seeking revenue and affecting quality of life.

We can do more to push for no killing in animal shelters. CVAC needs an overhaul and we must do something about it.
The electorate is the real power in government. We must hold all officials and employees accountable to the people. No weaponizing City services. Everyone should be treated fairly.
If you chose to land bank and keep your lot undeveloped, you must take measures to keep down dust and not just once in a while, always.
There must be more scrutiny when it comes to plans and expenditures. The SilverRock debacle should never have happened. It is not like there weren't warning signs for years.
Term limits are needed. Win or lose this is the last time I run for City Councilman. This should not be a career, you help make the City better then move along.
Event sites inside residential neighborhoods is a controversial topic. Currently there are two, but there could be more in the future. Both current sites have generated numerous citizen complaints from neighbors. If they are in compliance with the law, that is one thing, but if not it may be time for strict enforcement.
STVRs is another controversial issue. There was a vote and the people have spoken. I would have done things a bit different. I don't mind a homeowner renting a room for an event. Historically that has not been a problem. At the same time, some people really need the revenue from special events to keep their home. I understand that, and during events we often need those accommodations. My issue is the full time permanent motels in residential neighborhoods. Those are where most problems come from. I would limit the amount of days per year that they can be rented out for periods under 30 days. This won't affect seasonal rentals. We can work on how many days, maybe somewhere between 30 and 60.
We need more transparency in City affairs. When there is a problem it is kept secret until it eventually blows up or hits the news. There are very few things that should be covered in private sessions.
I m not running to go along to get along. I offer a different perspective on a number of issues. They are not always great, but often can make good ideas even better.
I have been a full time resident of La Quinta since 2011. I first tried politics in 2016 when I recognized that the plans for SilverRock were doomed to failure. I was also against the 1% sales tax increase instead of remedying wasteful spending.
I was able to try to help by getting appointed as a Commissioner of the Housing Commission.

I was able to try to help by getting appointed as a Commissioner of the Housing Commission. I tried to save our City about a million dollars on the Washington Street Apartments, but was overruled.
I believe I have the qualifications to make sound decisions. I did my undergraduate work in business at NYU. Later in life I entered the MBA program at Pepperdine. I then earned my JD degree at So Cal Institute of Law. I became a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court volunteer and pay panels. I continue to volunteer to do private mediations today.
I ran a successful business for many years until getting a calling to go into public service. Instead of becoming an attorney after law school I took a position as an investigator at LA County Consumer Affairs.
At DCA I ran at various times the Consumer Protection unit, the Real Estate Fraud unit, the Mediation unit, and the Identity Theft unit. I was the fixer who made each unit more efficient.
During my career there I ran multiple cases with DA offices through So Cal, including the Riverside DA. I worked closely with most police and Sheriff departments throughout So Cal. I ran one of the largest organized crime cases that affected 10s of thousands of consumers who were victims of loan sharks and car thieves. I had over 100 investigators hit 7 different locations simultaneously resulting in the eventual arrest of all the top perpetrators. They all pled guilty, and dozens of vehicles and hundreds of thousands of dollars were returned to victims.
I am a dog lover. I have two rescues of my own.
I am not running to make friends. I don't go along to get along. I am running only for the people of La Quinta and local businesses. I am running for YOU.
